I started religiously counting calories using Cronometer and a kitchen scale. Increasing my fiber consumption by eating a lot more vegetables, fruits, and whole grains helped manage my hunger A LOT. However, don’t completely cut out unhealthy foods you enjoy. I don’t snack at all; I eat 3 planned meals a day. I also started walking everyday for at least an hour.

Edit: Also, don’t feel anxious every time you step on the scale. The scale should be something you step on as part of your routine, and you move on. My weight can vary by +2 lbs after days where I know I ate a calorie deficit. Basically, if after two weeks of eating at a deficit and you don’t notice weight loss, then lower your calories. I recommend Renpho scales because they can connect to an app on your phone which makes things easier.

You don't need to do everything I stated to lose weight. That's a "letting perfect be the enemy of good" mentality. For most overweight people, just eating more fiber and sitting less will help them lose weight. Although, I don't necessarily see anything wrong in using a medication to lose weight. I just don't know enough about Ozempic.

I don't know why you're getting down voted. Tough love can work. I guess it should be treated differently case by case but this can work. It's better to give people the brutal reality instead of making it too easy for people to give in to their addictions. I work with a guy massively overweight at a young age and it seemed like no one had ever challenged him or let him know how badly he was damaging his body.
